1. Bomboland

Bomboland is a studio. It's in Lucca and you can only get here on foot.
We do the things you see written in the menu above, and we do them for the clients you see written in the list below. We try to do them well because we hate things done badly.
We try to keep on doing them well because the recession can't be an excuse for everyting.
We try to be punctual because why should we make people wait?
We try not to take ourselves too seriously because, ultimately,
we make a living by drawing pictures.

At Bomboland, you'll find Maurizio at the drawing table, Elisa at the cutting table, and Missy every place, including forbidden ones, like the couch. Maurizio has been looking for the prefect chair for years, and it is sure to take the credit for the masterpiece he will soon make. Elisa keeps on failing to understand the connection between the chair and the masterpiece, but is sure he will make it soon.
Missy keeps on sitting on the couch with impunity.

2. Vesna Bursich

Vesna Bursich was born in Turin in 1974.

From a very young age, she consistently devoted a large portion of her time to drawingand painting, creating an intimate and almost secret relationship with her works and trying to seek in shapes and colours the expressiveness that words failed to match. Her interest and her need to observe grew stronger toward any kind of visual art, from15th-century classical painting to contemporary art.
After completing her Restoration Studies, in 1998 she graduated in Painting at the Accademia Albertina in Turin. Attracted by different descriptive forms, she can skillfully face oil painting on canvas as well as digital processing or other experimental forms making her work a multifaceted experience.
Her research is directed towards the representation of those emotional states affecting also her life course.
Although her works are not always immediately understandable, they will make your eyes lingering to observe, moving a memory deep in your heart, a memory that could be a question or an answer, a suggestion or a blame. A meeting or a confrontation, direct, fearless and honest.

4. Office Supplies Incorporated

Bio
Office Supplies Incorporated

I work in collage and print making, mainly screen printing. Each piece in these series are made of a single photo reproduced many times. I use only these reproductions of the original to make new images.

I am self taught. However I could not have gotten this far without the help and support of my friends, family and the city and people of Vancouver.

I have been fortunate enough to have shown work in and on Blim, Equinox Gallery and the Vancouver Art Gallery.

9. Helen Dardik

Are you familiar with the work of Helen Dardik? She’s a prolific illustrator and pattern designer, so chances are you’ve encountered her creations before. Her illustrations and patterns are colorful, retro-inspired, and whimsical with an element of ordered chaos — it’s like she took a picture of what’s in my brain when I’m having an awesome day and made drawings of it. Oh, and there are dogs, too. You can find Helen at her website, blog, Etsy shop, and Pinterest.

10. Giant slugs made from 40,000 plastic bags by Florentijn Hofman

Dutch artist florentijn hofman has sent designboom images of his latest large-scale installation entitled 'slow slugs'- created for the accroche coeurs festival in angers, france. The two monolithic creatures are fabricated from the knitting together of 40,000 colored plastic bags -
each artwork measuring at 18 x 7.5 x 5 meters in size. the theme of the festival for this year was 'north' - the distinctive sloping of the quiet french town then became the key impetus for the concept, with the route on which the critters are located directed toward the city's commercial centre.

The work stood for a total of eight days, with an immense amount of time and planning having gone into its construction. After two weeks of sketching and model making, the massive metal frame was bent and formed in the artist's studio in rotterdam.
The remainder of the production was completed in france with the skeleton welded on site as well as the bags fastened to the frame.
