7. Minivegas - Responsive Sculptures

Directing collective Minivegas conceived this fascinating virtual museum that renders digital sculptures in real time, in response to various sounds and gestures. Album artwork of MP3s loaded into the gallery appears on its walls, and the music itself drives the sculptures to grow and change form.

Visitors to the museum can also use a webcam to shape the pieces and change the views of the artwork. The directors conceived the work using technology they developed for the Welsh S4C interactive ident campaign, in which the visuals responded in real time to broadcaster announcer voices.
